A nursery says it will have to close after almost 17 years.
Fingerprints Pre-School and Nursery at St Albans Road, Garston, is struggling to find a new site since it was told to relocate.
The nursery opened up in 2005 at Garston Community Church with the help of chairman Roy Young.
But after Mr Young’s death in May 2021, new leaders at the church gave the nursery a notice on the same day to leave by July.
Sarah-Jo Barnes, the senior manager of the nursery explained that new leaders want to use the building for “other purposes”.
She said: “We thought we would be able to find alternative premises, and have spent the last 10 months searching, but we have now come to the end of all our leads so it looks like Fingerprints Garston will close permanently in July.
“We would be delighted if somewhere local became available for us, but otherwise it will be a very sad goodbye from all of us at Fingerprints.”
