Police say there has been a rise in anti-social behaviour in an area of Watford town centre.
Officers say problems caused by people drinking alcohol have increased in St Mary's Churchyard in the High Street in recent weeks.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says it wants to crack down on the issue and warned that there is a public space protection order in place which means it is an offence to continue to consume alcohol when asked to stop by a police or an accredited officer.
It is also an offence not to surrender alcohol when requested to do so.
As part of efforts to reduce anti-social behaviour in the area, police have launched a public survey of three questions.
Respondents are asked to rate how safe they feel in St Mary's Churchyard on a scale of 1 to 5, with 1 being 'very unsafe' and 5 being 'very safe'.
The survey also asks people to write down what issues they believe exist in the area and also what they think police and Watford Borough Council can do to tackle anti-social behaviour.
Watford Police said on Facebook: "We're looking at ways to make it a safer place for members of the public to enjoy. We have created a survey and would be grateful if you could share your thoughts and feedback."
The survey can be found by clicking here.
