A defibirriator has been installed in a park in Bushey.
It has been placed on the wall of the cafe at King George Recreation Ground in Chiltern Avenue.
Bushey North county councillor Laurence Brass said: "Some good news - I’ve been able to secure the funds to install a defibrillator at King George park.
"Huge thanks to resident Anita Ownsworth for proposing the idea. I then persuaded Hertfordshire County Council to make use of the £1,400 community grant scheme by charity 'London Hearts' to purchase this life-saving equipment at a reduced rate and then site it on the exterior wall of the park café.
"Thanks also to Christina Staple of Friends of King George who have kindly taken responsibility for the ongoing maintenance of the device. Hopefully it won’t be much used."
