My daughter gave birth to her second child a son, on March 16, 2022 at Watford General Hospital. We were at the hospital for a total of three days and we would like to thank the maternity department and all the staff for the excellent care that mother and baby received. Special thanks to Victoria Ward for the superb care and to midwife Jemma in particular.
From start to finish on Victoria, delivery suite and Katherine Ward we were looked after so well, all staff, midwives, students and doctors explained everything, and treated mother, baby and birth partner (grandma) with respect and dignity.
A lot of the time we only seem to hear when things go wrong in the NHS, so I wanted to shout about how great Watford General was for us during this admission.
I also want to mention the reception staff on Katherine Ward who make sure that no one gets into the wards that shouldn’t. We felt so safe, I am sure they get some stick at times.
Thank you to all the staff who made the experience so good for us.
