It’s always reassuring to know your children are in good hands, so how well have local schools performed in recent Ofsted inspections?
In the last few months the watchdog has published eight reports for primary schools within five miles of Watford.
The findings have mainly been positive but some areas of concern have also been highlighted.
Here is a list of the recent primary school reports published by the school watchdog:
St Anthony’s Catholic Primary School
Inspected in September 2021, the report was published on December 1 last year.
The school was previously considered ‘outstanding’ when it was inspected 15 years ago and it was downgraded to ‘good’.
It was stated the school is “a vibrant, happy place where pupils thrive” where pupils have “high ambitions for their futures” and “feel safe”.

But it was noted that pupils are polite and well mannered, they enjoy their time and learning.
