Two roads in the centre of Watford are among those set to be temporarily closed for roadworks.
A notice from Hertfordshire County Council in this week’s edition of the Watford Observer details the extent of the planned closures, which also involve streets in Bushey, Rickmansworth and Chorleywood.
All temporary closure orders, if made, are valid for up to 18 months and the dates when the works are carried out will be specified on signs at or near the relevant locations.
The council is intending to make an order to close Station Road, Watford, from its junction with A412 St Albans Road to its junction with Clarendon Road.
The diversion will be via St Albans Road, A411 Beechen Grove and Clarendon Road or via Clarendon Road, A411 (Beechen Grove/Exchange Road/Beechen Grove) and St Albans Road.
The same order will also authorise the temporary closure of St Johns Road from its junction with St Albans Road to its junction with Westlands Road.
The alternative route will be via St Albans Road, Beechen Grove, Clarendon Road, Shady Lane and Westland Road or St Albans Road, Beechen Grove roundabout, St Albans Road, Station Road and Westland Road.
This order is due to take effect on April 14.
Bushey Mill Lane, Bushey, is set to be shut from its junction with B462 Hartspring Lane north-westwards for a distance of 20m for traffic signal refurbishment works.
The diversion will be via Hartspring Lane, Park Avenue and Bushey Mill Lane.
The same order, which is set to come into force on April 12, will also prohibit vehicles from using Little Bushey Lane from its junction with B462 Aldenham Road south-eastwards for a distance of 20m.
The alternative route will be via Aldenham Road, The Avenue, Finch Lane, Herkomer Road, Coldharbour Lane and Little Bushey Lane.
High Street, Rickmansworth, is set to be shut from its junction with A412 Park Round roundabout to its junction with Church Street for utility works.
This order is due to come into force on April 11 and the diversion will be via A412 (Park Road/Rectory Road), A404 Riverside Drive and Church Street.
Sewer connection and road resurfacing works are due to close Chalfont Lane, Chorleywood, from its junction with Shire Lane to its junction with Blacketts Wood Drive.
This order is scheduled to take effect on April 11 and traffic will be diverted via Shire Lane, Whitelands Avenue and Blacketts Wood Drive.
