Watford’s Anthony Joshua made a surprise visit to a local store in a TV advert.
The boxing champion, who grew up on the Meriden estate, declared “there’s no place like home” after stunning two William Hill punters at the Watford town centre store.
Devan Taylor and James Griffin thought they were filming an ordinary TV advert on the role William Hill plays in their community – but they were caught off guard when Joshua strolled into the room.
Mr Griffin was heard saying he is not that into boxing, but he quickly changed his tune when Joshua pulled up a chair next to him.
The video was filmed earlier this year as part of William Hill’s ‘It’s who you play with’ campaign.
Joshua, who is an ambassador of William Hill, said: “Watford is my manor and home. No matter where I go in the world, there’s no place like home.
“It was great to surprise Dev and Griff but also to discuss the local community and the role the William Hill shop has played in their lives.”
