A couple have collaborated with a Ukrainian brewery to make and sell a beer to raise money for people affected by the Russian invasion.
Barbara Leenan and Geoff Latham, who run Pope's Yard Brewery, say they have been inspired to help Ukrainians after visiting their country in 2019.
They say all of the profits from the beer will go towards humanitarian relief for Ukraine.
Barbara said: "My partner and I travelled around beautiful Ukraine in 2019 and were so touched by the friendly and helpful people we met all over the country.
"In Lviv we went to see CastleHill Brewery and helped out a little with a brew. We had a great time and have stayed in touch since.
"We had planned to do a collaborative brew with them for a while but with the terrible situation in Ukraine we decided we had to do something now."
Barbara and Geoff, who are based at Frogmore Mill in Apsley after leaving their site in Watford, have been working to create their own interpretation of the milk stout beer which they say is popular in Ukraine.
Barbara said: "We have tweaked the recipe a bit because the malts we get here are slightly different to the ones they use there but stayed as true to the original as possible.
"We brewed the beer on March 7 and it will be ready at the beginning of April. It will be available in bottles, KeyKeg and cask. All the profit will go to help people in Ukraine."
Pope's Yard Brewery will be hosting a fundraiser for Ukraine at Creative Juices Brewing at Woodoaks Farm in Denham Way, Rickmansworth on the April 8 from 4pm until 9pm.
Attendees will have the opportunity to try the newly created beer and it will be stocked in local pubs as well. where people can try this special beer and some of the pubs in the local area will stock the beer too.
