A supermarket chain has confirmed it is eyeing up a location near the M25 for a new store.
Lidl says it has exchanged contracts on the World of Water site in Watford Road, Kings Langley, and will submit a planning application to Three Rivers District Council for a new store there in due course.
Lidl has already applied for a premises licence and is currently in the process of finalising its plans.
A spokesperson said: “We are delighted to confirm that we have exchanged contracts on the World of Water site on Watford Road, Kings Langley.
“We are currently in the process of finalising plans ahead of submitting planning and look forward to sharing more information with the local community in due course.”

Lidl opened its first ever store in Watford in late 2019 and has several stores in other Hertfordshire towns including Hemel Hempstead and Borehamwood.
A store is also planned in South Oxhey as part of the wider regeneration of the area.
