A Watford drinking establishment has been handed a new five-out-of-five food hygiene rating.
Sun Postal Sports & Social Club in Bellmount Wood Avenue was given the maximum score after assessment on March 1, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
Inspectors rated the venue as ‘good' for hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities and management of food safety.
It means that of Watford's 41 pubs, bars and nightclubs with ratings, 28 have ratings of five and none have zero.
Meanwhile, restaurant New Shapla Tandoori in Longspring was given a four-out-of-five rating after being inspected on January 26.
The establishment was rated as ‘good’ for hygienic food handling and cleanliness and condition of facilities, while receiving a “generally satisfactory’ rating for management of food safety.
It means that of Watford's 191 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 128 (67 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
