A woman who was jailed for repeatedly stealing from Tesco Express has been sent back to prison after yet again targeting the South Oxhey store.
Jenna Harris, of Lincoln Drive in South Oxhey, was given nine weeks’ prison in October after thieving and assaulting a police officer – just two days after a previous suspended sentence had been extended.
This week the 51-year-old admitted stealing wine five more times – three from Tesco Express while banned and two from Co-op – as well as one charge of assault.
Following the offences between January 30 and February 28, St Albans Magistrates’ Court gave her 20 weeks’ prison on Wednesday (March 2) citing her previous convictions.

Before her previous jail stint, Harris was caught stealing £40 of wine, sweets and crisps before obstructing a police officer – all while serving a 12-week suspended prison sentence.
At the time the court deemed it “unjust” to activate the suspended sentence due to the defendant’s “prospect of rehabilitation”.
