The owners of Bosleys Watford decided to permanently shut the venue after the lease came to an end.
The bar and restaurant venue at the Parade in Watford opened on August 4, 2016, taking over the former Yates site.
But in February this year, the venue officially closed up shop and removed traces of its social media presence.
The large fluorescent ‘Bosleys’ sign outside the building was also removed.
Now the Stonegate Group, which runs Bosleys, has confirmed that the reasoning for the venue closing down.
A spokesperson said: “Our lease has come to an end and the building has been returned to our landlord.”
Currently it’s unclear whether there are any plans on what could take over the Bosleys venue, but Watford BID has been approached for further information.
