The following announcements were carried in the Watford Observer last week:

Lyn Dorothy Ayres – Sadly lost her 15 year battle with Corticbasel degeneration at her home on Thursday February 10th 2022, aged 76. Widow of Keith Ayres who sadly passed away 20 years ago. She was the much loved mother of Alison and Simon and her partner Anthony Grace. A dearly missed grandmother to Olivia, Edward and Albert.

DRURY Wilbur Russell ‘Bill’ – Peacefully in Hospital 19th February 2022, aged 91 years.

Easton Augustus John ‘John’ – Sadly passed away on Saturday 19th February 2022 aged 88 years. A loving Dad and Grandad who will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

GODMAN Dorothea Joan – Passed away at Colchester Hospital on Monday 7th February 2022, aged 89 years. She was much loved and will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends.

HARKNETT Wally Henry – Passed away on Sunday 6th February 2022, aged 89 years. Reunited with his beloved Wife Pat. A much loved Dad and Grandad, he will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Edward (Ted) Harold Hills – of Watford, Hertfordshire, 85 years old, passed away unexpectedly on February 15th, 2022, from a heart condition. The family is deeply saddened by his sudden departure. He was a devoted family man that enriched the lives of all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his daughters, Louise, Angela and Diane. Grandchildren Ryan, Lewis, James, and Leanna. Great-grand-daughter Indie. As well as his extended family and an abundance of friends. We will all miss him more than words can say. He is reunited with his loving wife, Helen.

MANNING Janet Elizabeth (known as Elizabeth) – Passed away peacefully on Friday 28th January 2022 aged 87 years. Beloved wife of Tony, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Michael Wright “Mike” – 21.5.1955 to 19.2.2022 – Sadly we have to inform you that Michael passed away very peacefully in his sleep last weekend whilst being cared for in a lovely hospice. His strict wishes were that he didn’t want any fuss or huge funeral, so in due course there will be a very private ceremony.

Morey Joan – Joan Morey sadly passed away at home on 27th January 2022, aged 89. She will be greatly missed by all her family and friends. She is now reunited with her loving husband Derrick.

SMETHURST Jack – Aged 89. Passed away on Wednesday 16th February 2022. A loving Husband to Julie, Father to Perdi, Merry, Jane and Adam and adored Grandad and Great Grandad. Dearly loved by all and brought joy to so many throughout his long acting career.

WICKISON-ZANON Janet Ann – Sadly passed away peacefully on 1st February 2022 at Watford General Hospital, aged 68. Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Auntie and Friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
