Warner Bros is drawing up plans to expand its studio in Leavesden.
The film production company says it is putting together “exciting” proposals for new sound stages, workshops and offices, external film production areas and improved green spaces for public access.
It is also looking to making improvements to local infrastructure including roads and drainage plus additional parking to accommodate traffic.
Warner Bros said: “We have an exciting vision for the future expansion of the studio, designed to meet the increasing demand for our facilities and to bring more skilled jobs and opportunities to the local area, whilst taking into account the interests of those living nearby.”
It is looking to submit a planning application to Watford Borough Council and Three Rivers District Council in the Spring.
But prior to doing this, Warner Bros will be engaging with the public over the plans with two online and one in person event in February.
It said: “We will be engaging with the public in February 2022 prior to the submission of a planning application, at which point everyone will be able to view our plans and follow the application process.
“We look forward to sharing our plans with you and giving you a glimpse of the exciting future we envision here at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden.”
The online events will go ahead on Monday, February 21 (3pm-8pm) and Tuesday, February 22 (10am-3pm).
The in person event will be held at building 6, Warner Bros. Leavesden Park, Hercules Way, WD25 7GS on Monday, February 21 between 3pm and 8pm.
