A Watford man has been sentenced after he stole nearly £1,000 of items while burgling a pub by Rickmansworth Aquadrome.
Liam McCarthy, of Otley Way, broke into The Halfway House and took alcohol, a CCTV drive and cash to the value of £900 between August 14 and 15, 2018.
Last week the 33-year-old pleaded guilty and also admitted failing to arrive at court on July 4, 2019, having previously been released on bail.
McCarthy was ordered to pay £1,000 compensation, an £85 victim services surcharge and £85 Crown Prosecution costs.
A community order was also made requiring him to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work within the next year.
Hatfield Magistrates’ Court heard his guilty plea was considered during sentencing.
The pub and restaurant in Uxbridge Road is a popular pit stop for those visiting Rickmansworth Aquadrome.
