A woman had to be freed from her vehicle by firefighters and paramedics after a crash in Watford.
The three-vehicle collision on Tuesday afternoon was the third serious incident in just over 30 days along the same stretch of Rickmansworth Road.
The latest incident (January 18) saw emergency services respond at 1.35pm to a crash near its junction with Queen Mary's Avenue.
A Ford Transit Van, a Nissan Qashqai, and a Vauxhall Crossland X were reported to be involved and a woman inside one of the vehicles was unable to get out due to pain she was suffering.
After being released by emergency crews, police say she was not seriously injured and the road was cleared by 3.30pm.

It comes after police shut Rickmansworth Road, between Ascot Road and Hagden Lane, for hours on New Year's Eve.
Police and firefighters were called at around 4.20pm to a report of an overturned Audi which had hit a lamppost.

No one from the Audi was at the scene when police arrived but a search of the area was carried out. The lamppost was made safe and the vehicle recovered, with the road eventually reopening in the evening.
Police have confirmed five people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
A 26-year-old man from Wandsworth, south London, is under investigation after being arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking, driving while unfit through drink or drugs and failing to provide a specimen of breath.
A 23-year-old woman from High Wycombe is also under investigation having been arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.
No further action is being taken against another man and woman who were also arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicle taking.
❗ Rickmansworth Road in #Watford is closed in both directions after a one vehicle road traffic collision. We are working with the fire and ambulance service. It is likely to take some time as the vehicle collided with a lamppost. Pls avoid the area if possible. Thanks. pic.twitter.com/M18Dw0Qn3m

Meanwhile, a 57-year-old man from Harrow was given a community resolution after being arrested on suspicion of assaulting two police officers during the incident.
Earlier in the month, police were forced to close the 30mph Rickmansworth Road after a vehicle hit a telegraph pole, again between Ascot Road and Hagden Lane.
The pole was left leaning dangerously after being struck at 7.22am on December 15. No injuries were reported and the road reopened at around 11.30am.
