The Pizza Hut restaurant at the Dome Roundabout has officially shut.
The closure of the Garston eatery has been on the cards ever since it was confirmed Canadian fast food chain Tim Hortons would be taking the site over.
Pizza Hut's signs have come down and the restaurant has disappeared from the American chain's website.
It leaves Watford without a large Pizza Hut although a Pizza Hut Express did open not too long ago in the high street near the atria Watford shopping centre extension.
The branch at the Dome Roundabout won't be left lying empty however; in September, Watford Borough Council granted planning permission for a Tim Hortons.

The fast-food chain, which first opened in Canada in 1964, specialises in sandwiches, burgers, milkshakes, coffee, and doughnuts.
Tim Hortons says food is freshly made on site, with sandwiches made to order, with the beverages also handmade. Vegan options are also available on the menu.
An opening date has yet to be confirmed but once up and running, customers will be able to sit in or takeaway. A drive-thru will also be available.
