A person was declared dead after being hit by a train this afternoon (Tuesday).
Officers were called to Moor Park station at 12.42pm after reports of a casualty on the tracks.
According to the British Transport Police, paramedics also attended the scene but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
The force says that the incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
The death has caused major disruptions on the Metropolitan line between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Watford, Chesham and Amersham stations.
There have also been minor delays on the rest of the lines.
Chiltern Railways trains were also affected by the incident, with disruptions between Harrow-on-the-Hill and Aylesbury lasting until just before 4pm.
