People have been left “shocked” and “sad” after a man was found with fatal injuries inside a residential property in Watford.
Police have arrested a person on suspicion of murder after the man, aged in his 50s, died at the property in Fuller Road.
Emergency services swarmed the area shortly after 6pm on Thursday, October 28 after receiving a report of a serious assault.
Forensics have been sighted in the street and a blue and white police tent has been erected in a driveway.
One neighbour, who did not want to be named, said he felt shocked that the incident happened so close to home.
He said: “It’s very sad and very shocking. This kind of incident really put me down. I am very sorry to hear it has happened and my condolences go out to the family.”
Labour and Leggatts ward councillor Asif Khan said the incident was “tragic”.
He said: “My prayers and condolences go to the family during this time.
“It’s shocking and devastating.”
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Police say those involved in the incident are believed to be known to each other with the incident being treated as "isolated".
Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
