Pupils at a girls school have been awarded a trophy for being the best fundraising team for a recent event in aid of a cancer centre.
Northwood College for Girls raised £15,000 at last month's Moor Park 10km annual run with the proceeds going to Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
More than 200 members of the school community, including pupils parents and staff, joined forces to train and run together smashing their original £10,000 target.
To show their gratitude for the efforts put in by the college, Mount Vernon fundraising manager Joe Dunster visited to present them with a trophy.
Northwood College (NWC) headteacher Rebecca Brown said: "Team NWC absolutely excel at raising money for vital causes, because we are all equally dedicated to improving the lives of others, and have a lot of fun together whilst doing so.
"I am so proud and grateful to be a part of our unique community at Northwood. I am particularly grateful to our Year 2 parent, Arun, who led our Moor Park campaign. Arun spent so much time organising training sessions and generating donations; and I know first-hand how much work is involved, as I am delighted to have completed my first ever 10km run at the event."
Aanya, a Year 4 student, secured a donation of £1,000 from business management consultants, Calibrate Consulting, while one parent, who wishes to remain anonymous, raised £3,500.
Mrs Brown added: "May I give a big thank you to Joe for coming into school to present us with this trophy, our girls and staff will display it with pride and joy and I look forward to the next opportunity for our community to exceed our fundraising target."
