An environmental-themed evening is taking place at a school where experts and the public will discuss ways to reduce one’s impact on the planet.
The event One Small Change, which will include a quiz, discussions, poster displays from local schools, and talks, is on Saturday November 13 at Croxley Danes School in Baldwins Lane. It starts at 7pm, with doors open from 6.30pm.
The evening aims to raise the profile of environmental challenges facing the world and to encourage “one small change” that people can make locally which will make a big difference globally.
Taking place on the day after COP26, the organisers hope it will be an informative evening exploring how people can improve their environmental impact, as well as hearing the views of experts on the global challenge.
There will be a panel discussion featuring MP Gagan Mohindra alongside Cllr Phil Williams, a local politician, an environmental psychologist and a local minister and former climate scientist, along with a range of other inputs from local groups and from across the world to get people thinking and talking.
Table snacks will be provided but people are asked to bring their own drinks and glasses.
There is no charge for the event but there will be an opportunity during the evening to make a donation to cover costs.
Book in groups or individually by email to bookingsosc@gmail.com or by calling 07932 339859.
