Police are trying to find witnesses to a crash which has left a 12-year-old with serious head injuries.
It happened on the A405 North Orbital Road in Watford just before 3pm on Friday, October 1.
Hertfordshire Constabulary believe a boy crossed the northbound carriageway opposite McDonalds before being hit by a blue Honda Civic.
He received a head injury and was air lifted to hospital where his condition is described as critical but stable.

PC James Horn from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit said: “A young boy received serious head injuries and is in hospital in a critical condition.
“We are supporting his parents whilst we investigate the circumstances of what happened yesterday afternoon. If you have any dash cam footage, please do get in touch.
“We are also keen to trace the driver of a dark coloured Range Rover style 4x4 or SUV and a small white van which was behind a blue Nissan as they may have witnessed the collision.”
