A man in his 70s has been rushed to hosptial in a "serious condition" after being hit by a car in Bushey Heath this afternoon (Tuesday).
High Road was shut before 1pm today (September 28) after the pedestrian was hit by a car near the junction with Broadfield Court.
Officers attended alongside ambulances and an air ambulance, and the pedestrian was taken to hospital to have his injuries assessed.
Hertfordshire Constabulary said that road closures were in place while enquiries were carried out to establish the circumstances around the incident.
A police spokesperson confirmed the vehicle stopped at the scene with the driver assisting with enquiries.
No arrests have been made.
Closures were in place between Hartsbourne Road and the four-way traffic lights at Common Road and Magpie Hall Road, however the closure was cleared by 6.20pm.
