CCTV has captured the moment thieves stole a catalytic converter from a Lexus parked on a driveway in Leavesden.
The theft occurred when thieves parked on the pavement behind the car in Merlin Way just before 4pm on September 18.
Footage shows two people getting out of a Honda Civic before walking up to the Lexus in the driveway.
One of the thieves then went underneath the car to steal the catalytic converter whilst the other kept watch.
The footage then jumps to show the duo walking off before getting back into the Honda, which was driven off by a third person who had been waiting in the car.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has said it is investigating the theft of the catalytic converter.
“Enquiries are continuing at this time and anyone with information is asked to please contact police,” a force spokesperson said.
