A section of the M1 near Watford was shut by police overnight after a trailer overturned.

Hertfordshire Constabulary says officers were called to the M1 northbound, near junction 6, shortly before 3.55am on Friday September 10.

It was reported that a vehicle towing a trailer had crashed into the central reservation, causing the trailer to overturn.

Police say there were no injuries.

The road was closed off while recovery work took place and was cleared by around 5.30am.

One person was reported for driving without due care and attention.
