Police have charged a man after a woman was stabbed at a hotel in Rickmansworth.
Arun Purja, 27, of Kempton Avenue, London, has been charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm following an incident at the Premier Inn off Church Street.
He is due to appear at Hatfield Remand Court on Thursday, September 9.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says police were called to reports of an incident at the Premier Inn just after 6pm on Monday, September 6.
There had been a large police presence in the area with reports of the police helicopter also being deployed.
Officers found a woman with a stab wound to her back.
She was taken to hospital by ambulance and her injury was not life threatening or life changing.
A Premier Inn spokesperson said: "We are currently assisting the police with their investigation but as it is an on-going investigation we are unable to comment any further."
