A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a woman was stabbed in the back in Rickmansworth.
Police officers were called to Church Street at around 6pm this evening (Monday) after reports of the incident near Premier Inn.
Upon arrival a woman was found with a stab wound to her back.
She was taken to hospital for treatment but the injury is not believed to be life-threatening.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody.
A Herts Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called at just after 6pm today (Monday 6 September) to reports of an incident at an address on Church Street, Rickmansworth.
"Officers attended and located a woman with a stab wound to her back.
"The woman was taken to hospital by ambulance. Her injury is not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
"A 27-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody at this time.
"Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 101 quoting ISR 635 of 6 September."
