A picture has revealed the state of an overflowing dog waste bin in a park.
Heaps of waste have been dumped into the bin in Bricket Wood Common and to date has not been cleared.
It has reached a point where bags of rubbish have been left on the floor as the bin has overflowed too much.
One person who was recently in the park snapped a photo of the mess the bin has been left in and contacted St Albans and City District Council to clear it up.
The council says the bin, which is at the entrance of the park on the corner of Mount Pleasant Lane and Bucknall’s Drive, will be cleared up today.
A spokesperson added that there may be two reasons behind the overflowing dog waste bin.
They said: "The bin appears to have been overlooked by our contractor or has filled up more quickly than usual for some reason.
"Our parks team has instructed the contractor to clear it up today."
