A community organisation is still seeking volunteers to help in Covid vaccination centres across Watford.
So far centres at Watford Football Club, Watford Town Hall and Watford Leisure Centre have provided more than 9,000 hours of important support to clinical staff.
Volunteers have helped with directing cars, sanitising equipment, welcoming and registering patients, and handing out information around the vaccines.
The volunteers have been good humoured, and have kept smiling through wind, rain and even snow. Several clients have remarked on how helpful and friendly the volunteers were, making the vaccination process smooth and efficient.
Despite the slow return to normality, Communities 1st continue to need volunteers to help in centres across Watford, and the rest of Hertfordshire.
If you have a few hours to spare and would like to help ensure your community stays safe, sign up.
To find out more about this opportunity, and the organisation's other volunteering posts, visit www.communities1st.org.uk/sign-up, email volunteer@communities1st.org.uk or call 020 3940 4865.
You can now book or bring forward your vaccination through the National Booking System, or visit one of the walk-in vaccination clinics happening across Hertfordshire. If you do not have access to the internet, you can dial 119.
