Nearly 340 residents in Watford have tested positive for coronavirus over the last ten days, figures have shown.
Public Health England data reveals at least 339 infections were recorded across the borough between August 19 and 29.
This is down from 449 cases between August 8 and 18 but health officials are concerned the bank holiday weekend could lead to a jump in cases again.
Ahead of the bank holiday, the weekly infection rate in neighbouring Three Rivers dipped to 250.1 cases per 100,000 population, making it the lowest in Hertfordshire.
In the borough of Watford, the area which recorded the most Covid cases in the seven days to August 25 was Garston, with 41.
This was followed by Nascot Wood (31), Woodside & Leavesden Green (25) Holywell (23), West Watford (22) and Cassiobury (22).
There were 20 cases recorded in Central Watford and 15 in North Watford.
Most wards in Three Rivers saw a drop in cases. The area of Rickmansworth West recorded the most with 34 followed by 26 in Croxley North & Sarratt.
In Hertsmere there were 30 cases in Bushey North, 26 in Bushey Central, and 31 in Bushey Heath.
A total of 926 patients at West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust have died within 28 days if a positive Covid test.
The latest death was recorded by NHS England on August 23 - the fourth in August.
As of August 29, 75.6 per cent of adults in Watford had received one dose of the Covid vaccine, with 67.6 fully vaccinated.
In Three Rivers, 84.1 per cent have had one jab and 77.5 per cent have had two, while 79.4 per cent in Hertsmere are partially vaccinated with 73.8 per cent fully jabbed.
