Residents are being reminded that their bin collection date will be revised this week because of the August bank holiday.
Collections will still be taking place but a day later than usual.
This will be the case for people living in Watford, Three Rivers, and Hertsmere.
For example, a resident whose bin is usually emptied on a Monday will have it done on a Tuesday instead, while Friday collections will take place on Saturday.
Watford residents can find out which bins are scheduled to be collected this week by visiting Watford Borough Council's website here.
In Three Rivers district, collections will be made for residents' green bin (refuse), black bin (recycling) and the silver pod (food waste).
Three Rivers District Council asks that all bins should be placed outside a home on a residents' respective collection day by 6am and that all bin lids should be closed.
In Hertsmere, the green bin for food and garden waste will be emptied this week, along with brown bins.
A normal schedule will return for all three districts from September 6.
