What arrogance by Watford Borough Council! So it wants to cut congestion and improve health and wellbeing in Watford by placing a Park & Ride adjacent the A41, north of Hunton Bridge:
- On the green belt.
- Increasing traffic and congestion on the A41 and roads connecting to it.
- Adding pollution to Hunton Bridge, Kings Langley and Abbots Langley.
In other words, let Watford’s improvements be to the detriment and loss of others.
Has Watford Council also failed to notice the reasons for Three Rivers’ refusal of the MOTO MSA Planning Application, which included:
- Inappropriate development within the green belt.
- Increase in traffic and congestion on the A41 (supported by Hertfordshire Highways)
- Failure to tackle climate change by reducing carbon emissions.
Lastly, where is the evidence of demand and usage for a Park & Ride? There is no indication in the Strategy document that this has been, or will be, obtained.
