Here is a round-up of those in our area who have been fined in Hertfordshire magistrates’ courts during the week commencing August 2. 

  • Jason Willis, 53, of Westfield Avenue, Watford. On November 20, 2019, the defendant drove a car on Radlett Road at a speed exceeding the legal limit of 30 miles per hour. Fine, total costs: £355. Driving record also endorsed with five points.
  • Minesh Patel, 38, of Baxter Road, Watford. On August 23, 2019, the defendant used a car in Station Road when the front nearside of the vehicle was fitted with a tyre which had the ply or cord exposed. Fine, total costs: £240. Driving licence also endorsed with three points.
  • Paula Macintyre, 44, of Harriet Walker Way, Rickmansworth. On February 23, the defendant drove a motor vehicle in Beuchamp Gardens after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in her breath, namely 87mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit. Fine, total costs: £239. Also banned from driving for 22 months.
  • Nyles Mullin, 53, of High Street, Kings Langley. On July 27, 2020, the defendant drove a car on the A10 slip road in Hertford without due care and attention in that they drove onto the slip road then cut in front of another vehicle causing them to brake to avoid a collision. Fine, total costs: £300. Driving licence also endorsed with five points.
  • Jezreel Winditt, 56, of Loates Lane, Watford. Between July 14, 2020, and August 10, 2020, the defendant, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Hertfordshire, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fine, total costs: £254. Banned from driving for six months.
  • Boris Belchev, 49, of Lockhart Road, Watford. On January 10, the defendant drove a vehicle in Upper Station Road, at its junction with Aldenham Road, without due care and attention in that he failed to give way at the junction and collided with a grey BMW estate, causing injury. Fine, total costs: £594. Driving record endorsed with six points.
  • Carl Devine, 32, of Langley Road, Abbots Langley. On December 3, 2020, drove a vehicle on Rickmansworth Road after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 60mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit. Fine, total costs: £1,500. Also banned from driving for 17 months.
  • Paul Marr, 51, of Severn Way, Watford. On July 3 in Abbots Langley, drove a motor vehicle on Bedmond Road after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in his breath, namely 53 mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, exceeded the prescribed limit. Fine, total costs: £497. Also banned from driving for 14 months.
  • Deion Lowe, 28, of Croxley View, Watford. The defendant, having been required by or on behalf of the Chief Officer of Police for Hertfordshire, failed to give information relating to the identification of the driver of a vehicle, who was alleged to have been guilty of an offence. Fine, total costs: £654. Driving record endorsed with six points.
  • Andrea Wilson, 47, of Berry Avenue, Watford. On June 30 stole a can of beer, to the value of £2.00, belonging to the Co-Op in St Albans Road, Watford. Fine, total costs: £221.
