Thieves raided a home in Radlett before stealing jewellery including a watch.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has launched an appeal following the burglary, which occurred between 5pm on Tuesday, August 3 and 6.15pm on Wednesday, August 4, at a property in Shenley Hill.
Police say thieves broke into a property and carried out a messy search before taking jewellery of great sentimental value.
One of the items taken was a Rolex watch with the inscription ‘Happy 21st Birthday’ on the back.
Detective Constable Tilly Parker, who is investigating, said: “Did you see anything suspicious in Shenley Hill on Tuesday or Wednesday of last week (3/4 August)?
“Have you seen the items pictured for sale or do you have information which could assist the investigation?
“If you are able to help I can be contacted directly via email at tilly.parker@herts.police.uk."
