The sister of a man who went missing in Rickmansworth more than three weeks is pleading for her brother to return home.

Viktor was last seen near the River Chess in Rickmansworth at around 10am on Saturday, July 3.

Hertfordshire Constabulary has been working hard to try and find Viktor since his disappearance, with officers growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Specialised dive teams have also been used in the River Chess in the hunt for the 41-year-old.

More than three weeks on since Viktor was last seen, his sister Lana has come forward to share a message to the public – and to her brother – in order to help the police with their investigation.

Lana, who lives in the Three Rivers area, said: “It has been a very difficult time for our family because we have no idea if Viktor is okay.

“We are very worried about him because he does not have a phone to contact us, or any money to buy food.

“He is a great brother, and a very kind person who would give you his last penny if you needed it.

“We are grateful to the public who have already shared the previous appeals for Viktor. If you think you may have any information that could help, please share it with the police.

“Viktor, if you are reading this then please try and find a way to get in touch. You can live with us as long as you need to. We just want you to come home.”

Viktor is described as 5ft 10in tall with short brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans with a white T-shirt, white trainers and a black jacket.

He is a smoker and is considered to be vulnerable. Viktor also has links to Tottenham in north London and often travels by train.

Detective Sergeant Steve Boddy, from the Three Rivers Local Crime Unit, said: “It has been more than three weeks since Lana last saw her brother and I cannot imagine how hard it has been for her family.

“We have already carried out extensive enquiries into Viktor’s whereabouts, but sadly these have not produced any answers. At the weekend, colleagues from our Safer Neighbourhood Team went out on patrol and shared renewed leaflets about Viktor with the public.

“We are hoping this new high-quality photograph of Viktor will jog someone’s memory, and give us the vital piece of information we need.

“We’re growing increasingly concerned for his welfare as each day passes, and we cannot rule out the possibility that he may be taking shelter somewhere, especially with the recent hot weather we have had.

“If you live in the vicinity of Rickmansworth, and have any sheds or outbuildings on your property, then we would be grateful if you could check these for signs of someone taking refuge.

“We will continue to work hard and try to get some answers for Viktor’s family, who just want him home. If you can help, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.”
