A 16-year-old boy who took a lock knife to a churchyard in Watford has been fined.
The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was found with the blade in St Mary's churchyard on January 21.
Hatfield Magistrates' Court heard he had been carrying the knife without good reason or lawful authority.
The defendant was also found with a quantity of cannabis, the court was told.
He appeared in court on July 14 where he pleaded guilty to being in possession of cannabis and an article which had a blade or was sharply pointed.
He was fined £120 for both incidents and ordered to pay costs of £105.
The cannabis will also be forfeited and destroyed.
