A man has been arrested after a dog bit someone who was sitting outside a pub in Watford town centre.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident at 5.20pm yesterday (Sunday).
Officers said the dog was being walked along High Street by its owner when it reportedly jumped towards a man sitting outside the Moon Under Water pub.
The dog allegedly bit the man on the arm causing injuries and he was taken to hospital for further assessment.
The dog, believed to be a Cane Corso breed, was seized by officers.
Detective Constable Steve Whittaker said: “We are investigating this incident and would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident take place.
"If you saw it, please get in touch.”
A 22-year-old man from Watford was arrested on suspicion of having a dog dangerously out of control causing injury.
He has been released while the investigation continues.
