Part of Watford Borough Council’s Summer of Fun programme of events, the Big Screen will feature a line-up of movies such as Frozen, Cars, Minions, Mary Poppins and La La Land.
People will be able to put down a blanket or bring their own chair to sit on whilst they watch the films on the Big Screen, which will be around for 16 days.
It will first be available from Monday, July 26 to Sunday, August 1 in Woodside Playing Fields before moving to Knutsford Playing Fields between Monday, August 2 to Sunday, August 8.
Mayor of Watford Peter Taylor said “I'm pleased that we are able to bring our town together in this way and, despite these recent challenges, provide these events free of charge.
“I know these have been tough times for everyone but many of us will enjoy the opportunity to get outside and enjoy one of the fantastic films being shown. People watching one of the films need to follow the health advice and keep apart from other households at the events.”
People should not attend if they are showing any symptoms of Covid-19.
Big Screen is part are part of a wider programme of Big Events staged by Watford Borough Council and its partners in the town centre and Cassiobury Park throughout the year. For more information visit www.watfordsummeroffun.com
