Two cars with cloned number plates have been seized by a mobile police unit.
The cars – a Citroen Picasso and 4x4 Mercedes – were spotted driving around in the St Albans area on Tuesday (July 13) at different times during the day.
The Citroen Picasso was followed from St Albans and stopped at Barnet Road in Potters Bar, with police discovering that the driver had no licence or insurance.
Officers seized the car and reported the driver to be summonsed directly to court.
The second car was stopped near Chorleywood on the M25 by junction 18, after it was also spotted in the St Albans area.
This car was stolen from Lancashire, and the driver, aged 23 from Middlesex, was arrested.
He was given police bail until August 10.
