Emergency services swarmed a road after a cyclist was hit by a car in Bushey.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says it was called to a report of a road traffic collision at the junction of Little Bushey Lane, Elstree Road, and The Rutts in Bushey Heath just after 8pm on Monday.
An Audi Q5 and a cyclist had been in collision, the force said.
A video taken nearby shows several police cars at the scene with their blue lights flashing - paramedics attended the scene as well.
The cyclist, a man in his 50s, suffered head and leg injuries and was taken to hospital to be assessed.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
The Audi driver remained at the scene and assisted officers with enquiries, police said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 101 quoting ISR 737 of 5 July.
