Residents are being asked to have their say in a neighbourhood plan developing new homes and enhancing the community in a village.

A consultation has now kickstarted until August 7 this year, to collect the thought of residents regarding a Kings Langley draft neighbourhood plan.

The plan sets out how the parish plans to develop new houses, local facilities and the economy, over the next 15 to 20 years.

It aims to assure that any new developments are placed in appropriate locations within the village to protect the green belt and valued green space, while retaining the local character and heritage of the village.

There will also be an attempt to enhance the High Street, with any changes supporting businesses while also promoting local tourism.

It was put together after a huge parish survey in early 2019, and residents over the age of sixteen are being asked to take a look at it and give their comments.

Part of the plan also highlights a push to promote high speed broadband into all residential, commercial and community development proposals.

Cllr John Morrish said: "We know there is still great interest in the future development in Kings Langley because we had more than 1100 replies.

"I really hope people will engage with this consultation as it will help protect Kings Langley in so many ways for the next two decades."

Hard copies of the plan will also be available at the Parish Council offices, the library and other local venues.
