Two people were taken to hospital after a crash on one of the busiest roads in and out of Watford.
Police were at the scene of the A41 near the Dome Roundabout yesterday (June 1) at around 6.45pm after reports of a crash.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says two vehicles, Volkswagen Golf and a Volvo XC60, were involved.
Two people sustained slight injuries from the crash, and were taken to hospital.
The force said the road was closed in both directions and motorists were asked to avoid the area at the time.
By 8.30pm, all of the traffic delays had cleared and it looked like the road had reopened.
Fire services were also at the scene, with the Fire and Rescue team tweeting: "At 18:49 @garstonfire were mobilised to a vehicle fire following an RTC. When the crews arrived, luckily they found that there were no persons trapped and no fire situation. The crew did assist with first aid procedures ."
