Temperatures are set to skyrocket even further this week with Watford forecast to bask in 26C sun.
Following a sizzling Bank Holiday Weekend the town and nearby areas are enjoying 25C temperatures and clear blue skies today.
Tomorrow we are set to reach a scorching 26C - which compares to 22C and 24C in Barcelona for today and Wednesday respectively.
Sun-seekers will be delighted to hear the hot streak should be here to stay with temperatures hovering between 24C and 22C with long sunny spells forecast for the rest of the week.
According to BBC Weather, the same outlook is also forecast for next week - peaking on Wednesday and Sunday with 25C sun.
However, between June 5 and June 14 the Met Office has warned: "There also remains a risk of thunderstorms, especially in the far east and south-east, accompanied by very warm or hot conditions.
"Otherwise, temperatures will trend towards nearer the seasonal average, warm in the sunnier spots."
Its long-range forecast, covering June 14 to June 28, says "confidence is typically low for this period" but it appears to be a mixture of fine weather with spells of rain.
