Children and teenagers are asked to be responsible after sightings of youths climbing the roof of a disused swimming pool building.
Hertfordshire Constabulary says it has received two reports of children aged between 12 and 16 gaining access to the roof of the disused Sir James Altham swimming pool building off Altham Way in South Oxhey.
It is believed that the youths used the roof to gain entry inside the building.
On both occasions, officers searched the area and failed to find any children inside or outside the building.
However at some point during the last two weeks, the pipes at the disused site was damaged and left the neighbouring Oxhey Jets without water.
Oxhey Jets founder John Elliot says that the site was left without water as their services are fed from the pool hub.
He said that while they were not open to the public, they still had to stop trades and preparations to reopen due to the lack of water and a source of sanitation.
Mr Elliot explained that the disruption was short and thanked Three Rivers District Council for quickly sorting out the problem.
The Safer Neighbourhood Team are liaising with the Oxhey Jets and extra patrols will be conducted in the area over the next few weeks.
No formal warnings have been issued yet as the youths have not been caught or identified.
Hertfordshire Constabulary encourages anyone who witnesses suspicious activity at the site to call police on 999.
