Hi, my name’s Rex and I’m a cute five-year-old Chihuahua Cross. I was rehomed in March 2020 to a lovely man and we quickly became best friends. Tragically, he passed away in February so I came back to the National Animal Welfare Trust.
I’m hoping for an experienced owner who’s home most of the day so I can keep them company. I’m a lively lad so need someone active who’ll take me on lots of walks and play games with me. I love chasing tennis balls and eating my meals from food puzzles.
After a day of fun, I like to jump up on your lap for a cuddle. I’m very affectionate and love to give kisses but can be anxious so need an experienced, gentle owner who’ll listen to my body language.
I’m looking for a home with adults or families with children aged 12 and over where I’ll be the only pet. I’m full of beans so need to have a private, secure garden. Although I love attention, I’m fine being left for a couple of hours.
I’ve been medically checked by a vet; vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and neutered; given an individual training plan and four free weeks of Petplan insurance.
My owner called the NAWT every Friday to share the adventures we’d been on. I’m very sad and miss him but it shows that the NAWT is there for us, no matter what.
If you could give me a good home, call on 0208 950 0177 (option 2) or email reception@nawt.org.uk so we can meet.
