It’s that time of year again when the definitive guide to the UK’s wealthiest people is released, and once again one of Watford's biggest stars is on the list.
Former Watford chairman Sir Elton John came in as the 4th richest musician in the Sunday Times Rich List 2021 with an estimated wealth of £375 million.
The Hornets fan stepped down as chairman in 2002 but has maintained a close relationship with the club.
Most of his money was made through music, and despite the pandemic hitting the industry his net worth still went up £15 million since last year.
Paul McCartney was named the richest musician in the Sunday Times Rich List for 2021 in the UK and Ireland with a reported net worth of £820 million, followed by U2 in second place with £620 million.
In third place is Lord Lloyd-Webber with £525 million, which is down £275 million since last year.
Ed Sheeran was named the wealthiest “young” musician in the UK and Ireland with £220 million.
Sir Elton John appeared in the top 20 richest musicians along with Sir Mick Jagger, Brian May, Sting, Eric Clapton and Phil Collins.
The list revealed that billionaires have still seen their fortunes soar despite the pandemic.

Sir Elton John was born and raised in Harrow and lived with his parents in Pinner Hill Road, Pinner.
