Four police colleagues have been recognised for their hard work after being chosen for the annual Three Rivers award.
The award, which was introduced by former Three Rivers Chief Inspector Adam Such when he was in the temporary post last year, aims to inspire colleagues to achieve the accolade as voted for by their peers and managers.
The four winners were presented with their awards by Chief Insp Such at a socially-distanced ceremony at Rickmansworth police station, supported by current Chief Inspector Alex Warwick.
Investigator Gary Sibson, who works in the community safety unit (CSU), was chosen as staff member of the year.
The retired police officer's role sees him working closely with partnership agencies such as the district council and housing associations in order to address quality-of-life issues in the community.
Mr Sibson has been a member of police staff since March 2005, firstly being a crime prevention officer before becoming an assistant investigator in 2012.
Constable of the Year is PC Amanda Douglas from the Abbots Langley safer neighbourhood team.
PC Douglas joined the team in January 2020 and she works to tackle concerns which have a detrimental impact on the lives of local residents, such as anti-social behaviour and drug crime.
Sergeant Rob Loveday from intervention Team 4 was selected for manager of the year.
Sgt Loveday leads a team of PC's whose primary role is to respond to urgent calls from the public, so the work is fast-paced and requires analytical thinking.
Since taking up the position in November 2019, the sergeant's proactive work ethic and excellent leadership has set a fantastic example to his team.
PC Iain Rosser, from the Operation Scorpion team, was chosen for the Three Rivers’ chief inspector award.
PC Rosser's work involves proactively pursuing criminals who cause significant harm to communities by committing acquisitive crime. He often carries out drugs warrants, arrest enquiries and stop searches as part of his daily role.
Chief Insp Such said: "It was a pleasure to present Amanda, Gary, Iain and Rob with their awards, which were all richly deserved. We all know how tough the past year has been, but in Three Rivers we are lucky to have incredible colleagues who have carried us through the difficult times.
"They never fail to put victims of crime first and give 110 per cent each time they come to work. They should be very proud of their achievements, and rightly so. Well done to you all."
