Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a burglary in Watford.
Between 4pm on Wednesday March 31 and 10.30am on Saturday 3 April, a property in Sheepcot Lane was broken into.
Police say a search of the house was carried out and a large quantity of family gold, including a bespoke gold and cut diamond jewellery set was taken.
Detective Constable Debbie West, who is investigating, said: "Extensive enquiries have been carried out since this incident was reported and we were hoping to find some photos of the stolen jewellery to share.
"Unfortunately, this has not been possible but I’m still keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or anyone with information that might help.
"Perhaps you saw suspicious activity in the area? Or maybe you think you’ve been offered the jewellery for sale?
"I am particularly keen to hear from a man who we believe discovered the burglary. As the property was unoccupied at the time, he alerted the neighbours and then drove off in a Porsche Cayenne. If this was you, please get in touch as you could have vital information"
Anyone with information should contact 101 or email debbie.west@herts.pnn.police.uk quoting crime reference 41/23977/21.
