A teenager from Rickmansworth has been arrested following a fight where two people were reportedly seen with a crowbar and a hammer.
Hertfordshire Constabulary has launched an appeal following the physical altercation on Friday, May 7, in Cattsdell, Hemel Hempstead, around 3.30pm.
The force says two men were involved - it was reported that one of them was in possession of a crowbar, and the other man was allegedly armed with a hammer.
No one sustained any injuries and it is believed that both involved parties are known to each other.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information.
Detective Constable Nina Garrard, who is investigating, said: “This incident happened in a busy residential street, at a time when lots of people would probably be on their way to school pick-ups and we believe that several people may have witnessed the altercation taking place.
“If you did, and have not yet spoken to police, please get in touch as soon as possible. Any information, even something that may seem relatively minor or insignificant, could be key to progressing our investigation.”
Anyone with information can contact DC Garrard directly via email at Nina.Garrard3@herts.pnn.police.uk.
- Two people, a 19-year-old man from Rickmansworth and a 22-year-old man from Hemel Hempstead, were arrested on suspicion of affray. They have both been released on police bail with conditions.
