Police conducted a manhunt after reports that someone was attacked with a taser in Watford.
A police helicopter and dog unit were deployed after officers were called to Derby Road at 10.20pm yesterday (Wednesday).
A Herts Constabulary spokesman said: "It was reported there had been an altercation between three men during which one man was assaulted with a taser.
"He suffered a minor injury.
"Officers attended and located two of the men.
"A search of the area was carried out for the third person, however he was not located and enquiries into the incident are continuing."
He confirmed that the victim, a man in his 20s, did not require hospital treatment.
No arrests have been made and anyone with information is asked to contact police by calling non-emergency number 101, quoting 41/35155/21.
